Brand New Spacious 7-bedroom Michiana Shores Beach House in the woods!

Overall, I had a great 4th of July spent with family as we made it a memorable time for me, my siblings, brother in law, nieces and nephew. We did plan a last minute weekend holiday trip as our 1 night cost about 2k for no body soaps, shampoo, conditioner, check in at 4pm, and check out 10am. The listing amenities posted “regular soaps” so thankfully we packed our own. Kitchen was fully stocked, all 7 bedrooms had a Roku TV, and space was more than what we expected. We planned an all day beach stay at Warren Dunes and among the choices between Arbnb and Vrbo, this place was the “better” option. This rental is fairly new and could use some constructive criticism about communication. I had to ask the host twice if it was ok to bring our own portable grill and twice to ask for instructions how to enter the house/“house rules.” What really threw me off with Colin was he offered the house to extend our vacation. We booked Saturday night to Sunday morning. I replied back that we can’t since a few of us work that Monday, so then I asked if it was possible to have a later check out time. Colin’s response was asking to come a day earlier and declined later check out time because house was booked for Monday. So I replied back asking if we can have an earlier check in time. And guess what? It was all of a sudden booked and unavailable for early check in. If his original question was much clearer (“extend to come earlier”), I wouldn’t have felt more sour about spending over 2k.
