Tang Mow Hotel

The staff were absolutely amazing - especially the security staff Elijah, the receptionists and everyone working in the restaurant, except the interim manager who was always scrolling on his phone and generally disinterested. The rooms were spacious and the breakfast was good. Liked that there is a gym. The restaurant was also well-priced and tasty.

For over 500 PGK a night for the most basic room, this hotel just wasn't good value. We know PNG is expensive but even by PNG standards, it just wasn't worth the money paid. The rooms look good in the pictures but when you see them in real life, they are very poorly executed, e.g., the power sockets are placed diagonally, the toilets are rusting, there is no hot water. This would be okay for 300 PGK a night, but not more than 500 PGK. We went to In Wewak Boutique Hotel instead, which has a pool, a view and the other services Tang Mow has. We did miss the food and the staff from Tang Mow though, they were so amazing we genuinely felt guilty leaving them.

Need to change breakfast. Not good. Location is good, central to the heart of town.

TV is still a problem. Same as when I last stayed at the hotel in January 2026.

Its location which is central to town and made it easier to access the market and shops.

The running water

The room. Very executive like and comfortable
