Perfect location! Very cosy and very clean !!

Its the first time I have this issue via booking.com where I haven't heard anything of my check in prior the check in time . My flight was early so obviously reached there early when reach there we rang at the door not knowing how it works .. a gentleman explained that the check in ll be at 4 and that we ll probably get a message near 3. We decided to go have a bite and wait . Time passed by and it was nearly 4. Still no message got us worried. When we tried the number we couldn't reach anyone !!!!!!! When We called booking.com we were on the way to the apartment because it was starting to get dark and it was cold and we were worried as we couldn't reach the number. Booking was even worst service telling us they are not able to reach them as well and we had to wait 45 minutes so that they can cxd the reservation and give us a discount on another reservation. Seriously ????? I called again after 10 mins as I was freezing and it was already pass 4 when I called back booking.com. same answer !!!! So back to square one wait another 45 mins. Still no message . Here we are , 2 girls waiting outside in the dark and in the cold of new jersey. . Only solution we are offered is wait 45 mins the second time as well . Finally the man that told us check in is at 4 saw us outside and asked us to come inside he ll try to help us . We were one click away to book something else at that time. He asked me to check my phone message but nothing was there . Then he made a phone call and thats when I received the message . Finally after all this stress and panick. We were in !!! Booking.com ???? Didn't even hear from them again . We could have died there noone would have cared. Check in - wasn't an easy process Didn't meet anyone to apologies for what happened nor anyone called. This guy mentionned he works for BP stay but I dont know there was no name tag nothing so I gave no idea !! We asked for check out on message they send us to tell us to get out at 11.
