Nous avons aimé séjourner à Casa Velha da Lagoa. L’emplacement est top afin d’explorer l’île par l’accès à la voie rapide qui longe la côte et traverse également l’île pour aller sur la côte nord. Un vrai plus d’avoir un stationnement privé dans l’enceinte de la maison. L’appartement est très bien équipé et décoré, il y a tout ce qu’il faut pour une séjour de vacances. Les extérieurs et la végétation dans le jardin sont très beaux, très agréables, nous avons profité de la piscine tous les jours. Les instructions pour l’arrivée et le départ étaient complètes et très claires.

Honnêtement tout était très bien, il faut juste avoir à l’esprit que, bien qu’étant un avantage, le fait d’être proche de la route entraîne du bruit mais nous le savions donc pas de surprise et ça ne nous a pas dérangé.

Pleasant property very nicely decorated, with high ceilings and spacious for 2 people. The interior is comfortable and felt like home. Easy check-in and allocated parking space with a closed gate so your care is secure. Nice pool included and good restaurant just across the street.

The street right in front of the property is the main southern road and is very busy, which makes it hard to relax outside the property on the little terrace. Opening the windows can be very loud but fortunately Air Conditioning is provided. Also the bedroom window faces a restaurant so you got to keep some blinds closed for privacy but the restaurant wasn't vey busy nor noisy , so it wasn't too inconvenient.

I really enjoyed my stay here and I stayed 6 days. The decoration gives a lovely island vibe, which makes the place feel very special. It is very close to Ponta do Sol, which is a great advantage. If you don’t have a car, the location might be a bit challenging, but since I rented one, it worked perfectly for my itinerary. It’s located more or less in the middle of the island, so I was able to easily explore different areas. There is private parking available for guests, which was very convenient. Our contact, Fábio, was very kind and supportive. I also had the chance to meet the owner, who was equally friendly. They even left some local Madeira snacks for me, and they were delicious 😍 There is also a pool where you can relax after a long day of hiking (which I definitely did, haha). If you’re lucky—depending on the rain—you might even see small waterfalls while relaxing on the sunbed, which is such a unique experience.

The Wi-Fi connection could be a bit stronger at times, but it was still usable and did not impact my overall experience. There is some construction work behind the house, which may occasionally cause a bit of noise. However, this is outside of the owner’s control. Since I was mostly out during the day, it didn’t really affect my stay.
