Habu Hotel

We loved our stay at Habu Hotel, and it was the clear highlight of our trip other than seeing the attractions. What made it so special was the staff, who were all kind and genuine. Mohammed and Hamid, the cleaners, looked after our room beautifully. Mido made us the most delicious breakfast every day, with fresh ingredients, and gave us the real Egyptian breakfast experience. The falafel is a must have. It exceeded our expectations. Ahmed, our dinner chef, was so kind and gave us the best quality dining experience. There was so much food, it was fresh and there was so much flavour. Wow. The hotel itself is beautiful and looks just like the photos. It's a boutique hotel with a lot of character, and the view of the temple is stunning. We would book again in a heartbeat and are so glad we had this experience in Egypt. Highly recommend!

Habu Hotel was the most comfortable and relaxing stay of our entire trip to Egypt. Located right across from Medinet Habu Temple, the hotel is only a five-minute drive from the hot air balloon departure point and about twenty minutes from central Luxor. It feels like a peaceful hidden gem, away from the hustle and bustle. The thoughtful design and beautiful details throughout the hotel reflect the owner’s wonderful taste. Everything was exceptionally clean, with fresh towels provided daily and complimentary bottled water. The breakfast was incredibly generous, and every staff member was warm, welcoming, and polite. Hamdy was especially friendly and kind, making breakfast such a cheerful start to our day! The hotel also offers private transportation and tours, which can easily be arranged through reception. We highly recommend their taxi service for trips to central Luxor and back—it made getting around so easy and convenient. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautifully designed hotel with warm hospitality in Luxor, we highly recommend Habu Hotel. It was a true highlight of our trip!

I have never experienced something like this before. Never do you actually get the priviledge of staying right infront of an ancient temple. Not only that, but the place really makes you feel like you’re home.

Directly next to Medinet Habu, with a good roof Terrasse to Marvel at the temple. Staff were friendly and aiming to be helpful.

The rooms are terribly small and the bath-box is really tiny and in our case windowless. For a relatively new hotel, it is amazing how already all wall fixtures, towel rail, curtain rail etc are coming off the wall. Nothing is straight and the electricity wiring is questionable. There is no insulation whatsoever, so you hear every cough nearby. The place is dry and food options are limited but if the same standard as every other simple hotel/restaurant nearby.
