Zzz Malang Hostel

Zzz-Hostel has a very good vibe and the staff is genuine interested in their visitors and helpfull. In loved the evening chats. In did not have any disturbances of the nearby prayers. Note that you might awake early due to the sunlight. My only disappointment was leaving

Amazing staff 💖 Very helpful and friendly, gave me lots of tips including sending a link to a map with any place you could need. Girl even saved me when I forgot my sneakers inside - she ran out and gave me them a second before I left. I am beyond grateful for being so careful 🥹 The hostel is very clean, lots of space in rooms and in common areas, has a cooking area which is very nice Good internet, water is indeed cool in the cooler Also has amazing views of the mountains

Location is in a residential area outside of city center. But it is only a short 2 km walk or grab, so not an issue

Friendly staff and cheap. Hot water.

Beds are so uncomfortable you can feel the springs. They squeak a lot which is not ideal considering the early starts for tours like bromo. Only 2 toilets both right in front of the common area upstairs and down stairs so no privacy. 2 blankets provided but no towel provided. No breakfast available. I booked transport with the hostel directly from the bromo tour to avoid going back on myself, therefore packed my bag and took it on the jeep with me, only to be told Bali is “closed” that day. Then pickup was changed to 4-6pm then suddenly to 2pm then when I had waited 2 hours (I was told they were stuck in traffic), the lady in reception told me it was always been a 5pm pickup. It felt like they kept lying and they claimed it all was a misunderstanding. That transport took 16 hours when I was told it would be 6-8.
