Breakfast was stand out!

I booked this hotel because I wanted to use the gym before breakfast. The fact there's a gym is even in the name of the hotel listing on Booking. Well the gym doesn't really exist. The one treadmill there is broken. I asked for help. Unfortunately, staff are very reactive. Waiting for instructions from management who aren't there in person. It took 90 minutes for the hotel (franchise) owner to actually come. No solution proposed. Mine was that the hotel pays for me to go to a neighbouring gym. Eventually they conceded. Also the payment process is a mess. You book online. Booking.com says you booking is confirmed but it's not. You have to wait for a message from the hotel to collect payment separately. Then it's confirmed. That's if you get the message. I had to send 3 messages to get a response in order to pay. Also the original booking was for Rs. 6000 per night. 1 week later. Price was dropped to Rs. 2000. Was a hassle but cancelled the original booking and made a new one. On the other hand. The hotel is clean. Hot water with great water pressure in the shower. Unlimited free filtered drinking water. The staff although very inexperienced, are very polite. Breakfast was freshly cooked and outstanding in taste. I guess the hotel is suitable for transit since it's 20-30 mins drive from Delhi Airport. Longer stay, could be a hassle but for Rs. 2000, can I complain that much!? Hotel has such great potential if the management take some ownership.
