Ferienwohnung Villa Solvay

A nice apartment on the ground floor of an old villa, with own sitting area in the beautiful, well tended gardens. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the town center, and also handy for visiting Wartburg castle. The street is really well shaded, it is much more pleasant in the summer heat than the old town. The host is friendly and helpful. Given the ground floor location and the clearly old building, we were a bit worried that it might be damp (you don’t see that on the photos), but this is not the case. It is a good place for a short stay.

There is no dishwasher, and a few minor items (like a cheese grater) would be welcome in the kitchen. The washing machine is poorly maintained, there was some stale water in it, which was not pleasant, especially as we were running out of clothes well into our trip and had to use it. The bathroom window opens into the second bedroom, which is a bit weird. Overall, even with these minor inconveniences, this apartment is good value for money.

Wir sind ganz begeistert von unserem Kurzurlaub in der Villa Solvay. Die Wohnung ist super schön, viel Platz für eine 4 köpfige Familie, zentral gelegen in Eisenach mit Garten und dem Blick auf das Wahrzeichen von Eisenach- die Wartburg.
