Clean, comfy, quiet yet in prime location accessible to many sites and food/ stores within walking distance. Host is kind and very responsive.

The kitchen / bathroom (the drainage) have odors from time to time (seems to be common in old buildings in many countries)…

This was by far my favorite place to stay during my trip to Ulaanbaatar The apartment was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. What made it special was that it didn’t feel like a hotel at all—it felt like I was staying in the home of a local Mongolian family. The separate living room, bedroom, and bathroom with bathtub made it feel warm and homey rather than like a standard hotel room. even they have a Piano ! The neighborhood itself is peaceful and full of character. Every morning I woke up to birds singing, and the warm sunlight filled the living room. It was the perfect way to start each day. The building is also very unique. I learned that this neighborhood dates back to the communist era and was originally built as government housing for politicians and other prominent residents. Because of that, the architecture is quite different from modern buildings. The high ceilings and classic design give the apartment a beautiful sense of history and charm. The entrance is simple and not flashy, so it may be a little difficult to find at first. But if you enjoy authentic local experiences and want to feel like you’re visiting someone’s real home instead of staying in a typical hotel, this place is hard to beat. The location is excellent as well. It is directly across the street from the State Department Store, the oldest department store in Ulaanbaatar, making it easy to find. From there, it’s also an easy walk to Seoul Street and many other popular places in the city. Most importantly, the host’s warm hospitality made my stay unforgettable. Their kindness made me feel truly welcome and helped create wonderful memories of Ulaanbaatar. I originally planned to stay for only a short time, but I enjoyed it so much that I kept extending my reservation. In the end, I spent all five nights of my trip here. When I return to Ulaanbaatar, I will definitely stay here again.

The only small issue was finding the property on my first day. I think the location shown on Booking.com may not be completely accurate, so it was a little confusing at first. A clearer description would be very helpful for future guests. The easiest way to find the property is to go to the State Department Store first. Stand facing the main entrance of the department store, turn to the right, and cross the street. The accommodation is located in the residential area just across from there. Once I knew the way, it was very easy to find. Updating the directions on Booking.com or providing more detailed arrival instructions would make the check-in experience even better.
