Gould Swaby Mansion

Eine aussergewöhnliche Unterkunft in einem liebevolle eingerichtetem historischen Gebäude. Man wohnt wie damals die Erbauer. Einzigartig! Die Besitzer, die uns auch persönlich begrüßten haben uns die Geschichte des Haus erzählt. Wir waren im Dachgeschoss untergebracht. Wir hatten auch einen wunderschönen alten Billardtisch zur freien Verfügung. Das Bad und die Dusche waren einzigartig - die Dusche mit schönen alten Kacheln ist vermutlich die größte weit und breit. Der kostenlose Parkplatz ist direkt vor dem Haus. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Aufgrund des Altbaus, sind auch die Fenster in die Jahre gekommen. Am Morgen ist die Strasse nicht zu überhören. Die Küchenutensilien sind lückenhaft. Wir hatten einen Topf auf Nachfrage von unserem freundlichen Gastgeber gleich erhalten. Die Treppe zum Dach ist recht steil. Das war für uns jedoch kein Problem.

We had no breakfast. We enjoyed the ENTIRE mansion by ourselves. It was well maintained and was decorated nicely. It was fun going through the downstairs rooms to experience the vibe. Thanks to Harry for showing us around.

We don’t have anything to criticize.

The location was good.

Unfortunately, if you stay on the second floor as we did, all the photos of the beautiful, spacious rooms are not available to you. The "parlor" as they call it for those on the second floor is a big room with a pool table and some sofas. The suite we stayed in was small and cramped. The walls are dirty, and it needs a paint job. If you are able to book a suite on the first floor, I think you will find your stay enjoyable. We looked through the windows, and it was very nice. The door marked "emergency exit" in the suite where we stayed would not open. That is unacceptable.
