Charming Townhome Near Beach And Square

The place is an old house and if you want to live in the old town area Ærø, then this is the place. The old decors, almirah, the vinyl records added a charm to the house. The narrow staircase made of wood gives the authentic Danish house feelings. You get to stay in the area with the cobbled stones road around. Living space downstairs is very spacious. If you are travelling with kids, then ground floor serves your purpose. Take home memory: Staying in an old house (renovated) with some old antiques and not very far from Ærøskøbing port but walk with heavy luggage is challenging because of the cobbled stone roads in this old part/

1. The main area was clean, but the level of cleanliness may improve. The lights, corners of the room had spider nets, also saw a few spiders hanging. It gives you a old house feeling but should be improved. Also, the outside sitting area was not cleaned at all. if anyone want to use the backside seating area, please inform separately to clean it up. 2. People travelling from countries where every day cooking is not usually done in ovens, for them a simpler microwave would have been more convenient or may be quick guide to operate the cabinet oven. 3. We ran out of toilet papers, though there were many extras like waste basket paper rolls, but no extra stock of toilet papers. I understand that it's a holiday home kind of arrangement but may be if it should be highlighted to avoid the last-minute arrangements. 4. The sofas in the living area (specifically one of them) is too old and not at all comfortable to sit or relax. it should be repaired or replaced. 5. As the roads leading to the house are cobbled (more than 60%) from Ærøskøbing, pack your bags accordingly. 6. No sea views directly but can just walk out and then take a shortcut to reach the sea front.

Excellent location, very cheery and nice aesthetic. Well stocked kitchen for our short stay.

The stairs were very steep, essentially a ladder, which should be disclosed in the listing. Not accessible for many elderly or anyone with significant mobility challenges. The bathroom was downstairs from the bedrooms. It was also poorly drained and grouted—lots of stuff collected in the cracks that was easily dislodged. Linens were extra, which we didn’t realize until after the booking was made. Management company very helpful in lining up linens last minute. The location was excellent and the downstairs living space was good.

Die bodengleiche Dusche ist leider so falsch ausgeführt (es fehlt das Sturzgefälle zum Ablauf), dass selbst bei durchdachten Vorsichtsmaßnahmen das ganze Badezimmer unter Wasser steht. Es war für uns nicht schlimm, die Überschwemmung anschließend zu beseitigen, aber ich glaube, es tut dem Haus nicht gut (an der Fliesen-Fehlstelle vor der Tür zum Beispiel kann das Wasser in den Estrich laufen). Daher empfehle ich, schnellstmöglich ein vernünftiges Gefälle herstellen zu lassen.
