Senhora do Pilar by Atlantic Holiday

A szállás a hirdetésben látottaknak teljesen megfelelt, közel van a városközpont, van parkoló a mélygarázsban, rugalmasan segít a szállásadó. Tiszta, igényes apartman, jól felszerelt konyhával. Mivel tovább kellett maradnunk 1 nappal a rossz idő miatt, így a szállásadó rugalmasan megoldotta a szállás hosszabbítást.

Sajnos este 21 óra után alig van melegvíz a fürdőszobákban, így nehéz egy 4 fős családnak késő este zuhanyozni meleg vízben. Ezt a problémát jeleztem a szállásadónak is, de nem igazán sikerült megoldani. Tehát korán este fürödj le! :) A helyi adó 2x lett levonva a bankszámláról, de ezt a szállásadó később korrigálta.

Spacious, bright, and very comfortable apartment. It has two large bedrooms with comfortable beds and two separate bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need, including a large fridge, washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, air conditioning, and a flat-screen TV. Excellent location – very close to the city center (6 minutes by car or 12 minutes by bus). The bus stop with two direct lines to the center is only 150 meters away. It is also conveniently located near the express road exit, making it ideal for day trips to other parts of the island. Despite the great connectivity, the area is quiet and peaceful, with a lovely view of the city. A small grocery store is located right next to the building. A big advantage is the private garage parking space in a spacious garage with easy access, which is quite rare in Funchal. The hosts were very kind and professional. Shortly before our arrival, we received all the necessary information for an easy check-in, including detailed video instructions, which were very helpful. Margarida from Atlantic Holiday was very caring and supportive. On the day we were supposed to return our rental car, the garage door malfunctioned. We informed the rental agency and Margarida took over further communication and handling the situation with rent-a-car agency. We would definitely stay here again when returning to Madeira as the accommodation has fully met our expectations.

Some of the instructions were sent as duplicate messages (not sure if this is due to Booking.com or the accommodation), which made it a bit harder to keep track of all the emails. It would be helpful if the video instructions were shared a few days earlier. We had already arranged airport transfer to the accommodation in advance, and only through the video instructions did we learn that the keys are to be collected at a different location. As a result, we needed to adjust our transfer arrangements shortly before arrival.

Excellent apartment! Very clean and with everything you could need! We felt very at home. Also great location - not far from the city where most things are. Would stay again! Catarina and Ana (hosts from Atlantic Holiday) were great and professional.

When we left the property, we placed the key on the dining table as instructed. However, one of the hosts messaged us insisting - rather confidently - that we’d left the key behind a door that was apparently blocking access. That wasn’t the case, which made the message a little frustrating. Thankfully, the other hosts handled the situation with more professionalism and the door was somehow opened in the end. Apart from this, it was an excellent stay.
