Poiana Creasta Cocoșului-Casa Floarea Soarelui

Staying here for three nights was a memorable part of our Maramureș experience. The property is very rustic and wonderfully remote, surrounded by beautiful countryside, friendly dogs, a cat, goats, a horse and a donkey. Our cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable, with two lovely bedrooms, two bathrooms, plenty of electrical outlets, a small refrigerator and excellent heating for the chilly mornings. The mother and daughter were incredibly warm and friendly whenever we saw them, often busy preparing food in the kitchen. We had a homemade dinner and breakfast, both delicious and extremely generous. The friendly animals waiting outside our door made the experience even more charming. There was no Wi-Fi during our stay because of a wider service problem, and communication sometimes required Google Translate, but that is part of staying somewhere this remote. The night sky was extraordinary—we could see the Milky Way because there was virtually no light pollution. This is a wonderful place for travelers wanting an authentic, peaceful, off-the-grid experience while exploring the churches, villages and countryside of Maramureș.

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Haus war wunderschön, komfortabel, sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll renoviert. Wir hatten zwei große Schlafzimmer, zwei geräumige Badezimmer sowie ein Wohnzimmer mit angeschlossener Küche, sodass ausreichend Platz vorhanden war. Die Lage war sehr schön und ruhig, mit viel Grün rundherum. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die äußerst freundliche und familiäre Betreuung durch die Chefin und die Mitarbeiter. Gegen eine kleine Gebühr konnten wir direkt vor Ort Frühstück und Abendessen buchen. Beides war unkompliziert organisiert und von sehr guter Qualität.

Als Hinweis für die Anreise: Die Zufahrt zum Ort führt teilweise über Schotterwege, die etwas holprig sein können. Dafür kann die Unterkunft natürlich nichts. Auf dem Gelände gibt es außerdem einen Spielplatz sowie beheizbare Holz-Badefässer für die kältere Jahreszeit. Diese Bereiche wirkten im Sommer teilweise etwas weniger gepflegt, was uns jedoch nicht wesentlich gestört hat, da wir sie ohnehin nicht genutzt haben.
