Totul era minunat

The furniture in the accommodation was new. I really liked the sink area and the fact that a traditional Maltese snack was provided. The location is also excellent — very close to the bus stop, the church, and Zejtun itself, which I found beautiful and authentic. I was also satisfied that the hosts responded immediately to messages, which made communication easy.

However, the room I received was not the one shown in the photos. I believe there may be nicer rooms that match the rating, but I was shocked that my room had no proper window (the only “window” was from the bathroom and opened into a ventilation system). The room also smelled strongly of damp, with visible mould on the walls. It did not appear properly cleaned, and the bedding seemed as if it had not been changed after previous guests. In reality, it felt less like a rental room and more like a converted basement. The air was heavy and difficult to breathe despite the ventilation. Additionally, the toilet cistern was broken and water was leaking throughout the morning. Fortunately, I had not booked two nights, as I don’t think I would have been able to stay longer in such conditions.
