Quiet Comfortable

It was tucked among aspen trees on a dirt road-- a classic cabin in the woods. There were many similar homes nearby, but when we were there in the evenings, it was always quiet. We could have easily walked into town. The furnishings were comfortable, with knotty pine paneling giving a homey feel.

That the shower stall was tiny and the shower head hard to adjust; that there were no basic staples in the kitchen, like salt & sugar. A floor lamp that could be moved around as needed would have been nice.

Location was great and within a short walking distance to everything.

Wonderful hosts, very clean, and a short walk from town but outside the immediate main street chaos. You can hear the river from the patio table in the summer. Nobody seemed to really be home in the above building for the whole weekend, so I never heard anything other than neighbors talking on their porch when the windows were open. Nice to have a ceiling fan. I would stay there again. The wifi was lightning fast, which was super helpful because I was on AT&T LTE the entire time I was in Grand Lake. Host was very receptive to feedback. Despite other reviews, I had no issues finding the place and checking in after dark with the lockbox.

The bed is quite firm, which wasn't a deal breaker, but not ideal for me as a side sleeper that prefers a softer bed. The shower is quite narrow, so probably not a good fit for very wide folks, but I had no issues at 6'1".
