The Red Bears Den, Walk to River & Lake, In Town

Wonderful hosts, very clean, and a short walk from town but outside the immediate main street chaos. You can hear the river from the patio table in the summer. Nobody seemed to really be home in the above building for the whole weekend, so I never heard anything other than neighbors talking on their porch when the windows were open. Nice to have a ceiling fan. I would stay there again. The wifi was lightning fast, which was super helpful because I was on AT&T LTE the entire time I was in Grand Lake. Host was very receptive to feedback. Despite other reviews, I had no issues finding the place and checking in after dark with the lockbox.

The bed is quite firm, which wasn't a deal breaker, but not ideal for me as a side sleeper that prefers a softer bed. The shower is quite narrow, so probably not a good fit for very wide folks, but I had no issues at 6'1".

I was taking a personal retreat - the location was quiet and I had plenty of room. Everything was clean and comfortable. I would definitely return - great space for one or a couple.

I could have used more detailed directions to locate the property and recognize the front door of the unit. Personal preference of mine would be to have the TV in the living room rather than the bedroom.

Place is super cozy and perfect for two people! Was a great little getaway location.

The hosts could have been a little quicker in responsiveness. The sink drain was completely detached and water was leaking when we arrived, so I had to fix it myself.

Close to the downtown and to the grocery store. Close to Rocky National Park and to the Kawuneeche visitor center for my passport stamp. Cabin was quiet and cozy, perfect for two people. Heater works exceptionally well and we absolutely enjoyed the fire pit with the firewood that was provided.

If you like a firmer bed the bedroom is a great option but if you like a softer bed the pullout couch is the best option. The shower is a bit small but water pressure was good.
