Authentic beachfront Villa Owl

The staff were amazing but a bit annoying, we stayed for 1 day and they were coming to do smth in the garden when we were there, so we had to ask them to leave, because we didn’t have privacy. And they did it immediately. So everything is great, but maybe should inform guests before coming 🙏

Amazing architecture and setting - very close to the beach with a side view overlooking the surrounding rice paddies. Plenty of space with an individual pool and spa. Smiley and happy cleaning staff. Having travelled all over Indonesia for 30+ years staying in Losmens, home stays through to five star properties- it’s fair to say this place is very unique and authentic and while we enjoyed our overall stay - the value/price for what is offered is average.

The property is showing signs of tiredness. Even with all of the space you can only lie in bed to relax. The separate kitchen area is a large space (but dark and dated) - there is a large wooden semi-circle sitting area under the concrete map which could have been simply improved and made usable with a mattress - therefore it was a waste of space. It was raining most of the time during our stay - so we thought we would watch TV - which didn’t work and I believe it has not worked for sometime - although reported to the Manager this was never addressed or fixed. Little things let this property down. The individual pool is not private as staff and other guests walk by with a full view. Not private.

The villa is stunning, spacious. The decorations are lovely and it feels very authentic. They clean it every day which is awesome, and they also always washed my dishes, which was so sweet. The staff is really nice, it is also very close to the beach, next to the rice fields, nice swimming pool, you get all the towels you need, kitchen is well equipped. There are enough plugs, bedside tables, amenities - someone really thought it through when building it (unlike other places in Bali:))

It is quite far away from everything. So you definitely need a bike to get around, there are not that many placesaround to eat in a walking distance. Also you cannot swim in the ocean close to the villa, nor chill at the beach, it is too rough and windy. The beach is also used for motorbikes and ATV tours, so it gets loud every day - nothing the host can do about, but it is disturbing the otherwise very serene atmosphere.
