Grazia und ihr Mann sind mit die zuvorkommendsten Hosts, die ich je erlebt habe. Super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich so herzlich empfangen und die beiden scheuen keine Mühle den Aufenthalt ihrer Gäste so schön als möglich zu gestalten

Grazia & Francesco are lovely, warm-hearted hosts fiercely devoted to making their guests' experience as nice and easy as possible. We felt right at home with them. They both greeted us outside on our arrival. Francesco carried our luggage to our room up the spiral staircase, then proceeded to lead me by car to a safe free parking zone nearby where our rental car could be left 24/7. He even offered to drive us to the nearby ferry port the next morning. The hotel is very well located within the old town. It opened only recently, and the rooms have been appointed and styled with thoughtful attention to details. Our room felt new, modern and cozy. The breakfast area had a fridge packed with complimentary cold water, juices and such, as well as a few snacks to nibble on at leisure, among them very tasty biscuits made by Grazia. Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately I caught a stomach bug during our stay (unrelated to the hotel). Grazia helped me with that too, making me "potions" to drink and helping us cancel a planned trip to Favignana and get a refund, and Francesco drove me back to our car on check-out. If we ever visit Trapani again, we would go straight back to Matri Mia without hesitation. If you're into gelato, be sure to visit Gelateria Meno Tredici - the best ice cream we had during our whole 2 weeks touring Sicily. Note on car access: The hotel is located within Trapani's ZTL (limited traffic zone). If you're concerned about picking up a camera fine on entering the zone to access the hotel, as I was, here is the reassuring explanation our hosts gave us: There are no cameras at the points of entry into Trapani's ZTL near the hotel. The important point is not to park or stay in one point within the zone, where parking enforcers can get you, excepting a 15-minute window of tolerance to unload/load your luggage at the hotel (while keeping an eye out for parking enforcers, which the hosts helped us with).

Sometimes it's the people who makes a place special and this is what Matri Mia is about. Warm, friendly and genuinely caring people, Grazia and Francesco run their business with love and passion and that's why you feel that definitely you'll come back here, with any occasion. The property is spotless clean, breakfast amazingly delicious ( a 10 plus for Grazia's lemon cookies, mmmm :) cold water in the fridge at any time, quiet and relaxing atmosphere everywhere, an authentic sicilian vibe inside and outside.

It is nothing not to be liked. The only regret was that I couldn't spend more time there😊
