Premier Inn Welwyn Garden City

We booked two rooms and we both had a problem with the keys. Once we get out of the room, the key didn’t work anymore and every time we had to go to the reception even every morning after the breakfast. And the night time the staffs were very busy at the restaurant, so we had to wait like 15 mins to get a staff.

Our stay was unfortunately quite disappointing. The only positives were the convenient location (close to the train station) and the comfort of the bed. However, the negatives outweighed these: 1. Bathroom issues – There was no ventilation or working fan, leaving the bathroom damp with a persistent, unpleasant odor. Chrome fixtures were rusted, paint was peeling, and despite keeping the bathroom door closed, the smell seeped into the room. 2. No in-room safe – There was nowhere secure to store valuables when leaving for the day. 3. Uncomfortable heat – The room was extremely hot, and the single fan provided was not nearly enough to cool it. 4. Breakfast – Just average, with limited options and nothing particularly special. 5. Billing problem – We were charged twice: once by Expedia when booking and again by Premier Inn at check-in. We only noticed after we had checked out, and attempts to contact the property by phone were unsuccessful, as no one answered. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and we were eager to leave.

The Food was great. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean It would have been nice to have a fridge and a safe in the room to store my passport and valuables It would have been nice to have an iron and drawers to put things into. I stayed for 5 nights so all the above would have made the stay a better experience
