Studio Apartment Il Pozzo is located in one of the most spectacular ancient palace bult in 1878. The historical main center of Sorrento is limited traffic zone, where it is possible to take a walk in the characteristic little street between most colorful stores. Recently restructured is composed of living room with kitchenette and bathroom. The apartment have a terrace equipped with table and chairs. It is located nearest the Communal Villa from where you can take a lift (elevator) and reach the bathing establishment and the port in order to embark on comfortable ferries or fast hydrofoils and to catch up in only 20 minutes the Isle of Capri. Also You can reach Ischia, Amalfi, Positano and Naples. In only 10 minutes, on foot, it's possible to reach the train station of the circumvesuviana and take a train to reach the diggings of Pompei or Ercolano. Il Pozzo is a reccomended destination for those who want live the atmosphere, the charm and the typical perfumes of the ancient Sorrento lanes without sacrificing the services of a tourist structure cutting-edge and independence of an apartment. Ideal for any kind of tour, holiday, business and for shopping, also boast the closeness with the best restaurants of the coast and with different shops, market, grocery, laundry, pubs, bar, banks...'Sorrento around you' .

The apartment is very well located in the centre of Sorrento, just 15 minutes walk from the train station, bus station and harbour. It is in a pedestrianised area and so it quiet at night, but also only 5 minutes from excellent restaurants, shops and the cathedral. The bed is comfortable and the small kitchen is equipped for basic cooking. There is a good shower in the bathroom with plenty of hot water.
We stayed in Sorrento because it is a pleasant town and a convenient place to get boats to Capri, explore the Amalfi peninsular, Pompei and Versuvios.

Property as advertised but I have to be honest and state that the picture of the entrance hall to the foyer was obviously taken after it had a recent redecoration. It is in need of a refresh but it did not detract from our enjoyment.
The apartment is clean but a little basic ‘though that is reflected in the price. The shower was good, plenty of hot water, bed was a little hard but comfy and clean and we slept well every night. The air con was also appreciated as was the fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and cooker.
Location was brilliant - right in the centre of Sorrento. You exit the entrance foyer and you have restaurants to you left, right and right in front.
Our host Massimo was always available if required but gave you all the privacy you wanted.
Massimo left some coffee and tea as a welcome but salt and pepper pots would have been handier - we could not find small salt and pepper pots and as we preferred to have a light lunch or brunch indoors and eat out every evening it would have been good. I know that if we had asked Massimo he would have sorted it out for us but we kind of got used to it.
Brilliant stay and maybe a week would have been sufficient as we did not want to do all the excursions.
Would I recommend Sorrento - Yes
Would I recommend the apartment - Yes as long as you accept that it is not plush. It is clean, very functional and in a brilliant location. Hope that helps anyone trying to decide. If anyone wants more specific information about the apartment or Sorrento ping me an email.
