About this cottage rental
A light-filled cottage on a picturesque road in the quaint town of New Marborough in the Southern Berkshires. Simple and well-designed, with many delightful moments.
Garden bedroom with en-suite bathroom/shower; all living spaces on the ground floor; the second-floor and attic bedrooms (3 total) share one bathroom.
Decks, wood-burning hot tub, BBQs, lawn, fruit trees on property; swimmable lake, café, restaurants, church, and trails in town.
We love our East Hill Road. You can walk (10 min.) to a nearby well-maintained lake in a state park. You can drive (10 min.) to an exceptional cafe that offers amazing pastries and a casual menu. There are three other restaurants within a 10-minute drive that offer a range of fine dining from classic to world cuisine and experimental.
If you are coming to New Marlborough, you probably already know what the Southern Berkshire has to offer. Great Barrington and Stockbridge are 30 minutes drive away. Jacobs Pillow and Tanglewood are 40 minutes drive away. MaSS MoCA and the Clark Institute are within a 1-hour drive.
There are numerous trails, lakes, waterfalls, and state parks to explore with breathtaking beauty all year round.

Beautiful, well-designed home deserves a 10 out of 10 for aesthetics. Very glad Jing (the host) and her family are sharing this jewel of a home with the rest of us. Jing was a quick, kind and cordial communicator. The house location was quiet and tranquil. Nearby lake was within walking distance and delightful.
