About this house rental
Welcome to The Riverhouse Getaway.
This magnificent property spans four acres of lush woodland and boasts over 1,000 feet of private riverfront.
This cedar-sided, custom, contemporary home has floor-to-ceiling windows that offer magnificent views in every direction.
Located 2 hours from NYC and 2.5 hours from Philly.
The sounds of the river and the sights of nature truly set this property apart.
Every room of our house was designed to bring the outside in.
The main level connects the kitchen, den, living room, full bathroom, a large deck & screened-in porch.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything and anything to serve everyone.
Espresso machine, air fryer, juicer, mixers, grinders, graters, Belgian waffle maker, every size of pot, pan, dish, glass, bowl, slow cooker, and dim sum steamer. Make a quick snack or cook Thanksgiving dinner. It's all there.
The fridge is stocked with condiments, and the cupboards have the basics. You can use what's there. Eat at the kitchen table surrounded by windows on every side, including the ceiling.
The den features a wood-burning stove and the entrance to an enormous deck overlooking the river. It's a perfect place to watch Bald Eagles, wildlife, and river floaters. In the winter, when the river freezes, it is spectacular! BBQ on a large Weber grill.
The living room is furnished with two large couches, an Apple TV system, the entrance to a screened-in porch & a 10-seat dining table - perfect for large meals, giant jigsaw puzzles, & board games!
Upstairs, in the master bedroom, wake up to fantastic sunrises in a king-sized bed overlooking the river.
A private deck, more views to die for, and a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub to soak in.
Downstairs, exercise, read, throw darts, or sit and gaze at what might be the best view of the river through glass doors that span the length of the space.
Get your workout on a Nordictrack treadmill with a barbell and weights, a full set of dumbbells, a rower, a stationary bike, and all the stretching, massaging, and rolling apparatuses that come with the workout.
Head outside to sit in the hot tub and lounge under a covered patio.
The downstairs space also has two bedrooms & a full bathroom.
Across the breezeway is the third bedroom with a queen bed, full bathroom and a desk to work at if needed.
In general, we are a well-stocked house.
All bathrooms are stocked with luxury soaps, hair products, and lotions, and the beds are set up with new Company Store Egyptian cotton bedding & clean new pillows.
THE RIVERFRONT.
Our property is perfect for kayaking, fishing, swimming, and snorkeling. Follow the path down to the river and hang out on lounge chairs, and enjoy river access.
In addition to a hot tub, two decks, two covered patios, a screened-in porch, and a fire pit, we have created quiet sitting areas throughout the property.
One of the most magnificent experiences in this house is when "weather" happens. We see rain, lightning and hailstorms, snow blizzards, or even a shower of leaves during the Fall. Trees fall (amazing to hear & see), and the power can go out. But we have a whole system generator that will automatically kick on.
Our house is pet-friendly. We have placed blankets around the house that are meant for you to drape on furniture for your pet to sit on.
