Casa da Laxa is located in beautiful land of Terra de Montes on the border between provinces of Ourense and Pontevedra. It was built in traditional Galician manner in 1875 on a granit rock in the veil of Marcofán mountain. Peace and natural beauty of the Castro river's bank makes this stunning cottage a perfect getaway destination.

The ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen, living room with TV, fireplace and toilet. It has covered outdoor BBQ and picnic area in a large garden on the banks of the river. Wi-Fi and parking. There is a pool of river water, part of the river, 500 meters from the house

Casa da Laxa was exactly what we were hoping for and more. The location is so tranquil tucked into a hill on the edge of temperate rainforest. Checking in was very smooth and the house very spacious and equipped with everything you might need. We headed out to visit castros, petroglyphs and hot springs but also spent plenty of time wending our way through the forest and the largely abandoned village, visiting the local river pool and sitting outside the local bar. The perfect getaway.

Located in a small hamlet , this lovely house was just what we needed after a busy city break in Santiago de Compostella. The surrounding scenery is simply stunning - probably the greenest area in all of Spain! We were thrilled to see how private the house was , complete with gardens and a footbridge over our own stream in the forest. The house itself is of solid granite with exposed beams and stone walls inside and out and is very Alpine in design. Everything you would need is there : most of the furniture is in modern pine , living room with open fireplace, dining room, a well equiped traditional style oak kitchen, three bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms and comfortable beds. Outside is a large outdoor barbeque and dining area. Simple but well maintained and clean.

We had a great time in Casa da Laxa. We were two couples that wanted to enjoy the Galician mountains and nature. This was
perfect in the house that was beautifully located in a quiet village. The area is perfect for hiking, cycling, swimming in the river, enjoying the beautiful nature or just relax. If you are looking for such an experience you will definitely enjoy this place
