Lovely bank holiday in Devon
The house was lovely and well equipped for our group, we made a birthday cake for my husband and ate our meals outside which was lovely. The house is modern and clean and the rooms are spacious for a group of 4 adults and a toddler. The kitchen has all the equipment needed to cook dinners etc. The garden had evening sun and was stunning and we managed to have a couple of hot tub sessions. The host kindly allowed us to check out at 10.30 instead of 10 which helped a lot with a toddler. The place is dog friendly which worked perfectly for us. We had a great weekend!!
Even though we had the most amazing weekend here are a few things we noticed that may be of help for the future. The check in was quite late and the check out was early too, when you have such a lovely place you kinda want to hang out in there, totally understand you need to clean in between guests. We would have happily paid an extra fee for late check out. They provided enough wood to do 1 x hot tub but that's it, which meant driving round the next day to a few different petrol stations looking for wood could have been avoided if there was an option to purchase more wood with the hosts? The bedrooms were really warm even with windows open probably nothing that can be done on this but we just slept with the sheets. Postcode for food delivery not precise enough and no signal so one of us had to wait outside the house by the hill to make sure the food driver would see us as we couldn't call them again now much that could be avoided. Bins had not been cleared on the drive and were overflowing.
