Very clean and freshly updated. The bathroom is beautiful and the back-lit mirrors provide pleasant lighting options. In the heart of small town Fiumicello and a short walk to the beach. Good washing machine and balcony with a view of the Redeemer. A great location to base a Maratea holiday.
The owner badgered us endlessly to rate the property a 10. I presume he does this with every guest.
He was helpful when we called for entry instructions, but that was after we wandered around looking for the yellow and pink buildings shown in the photos. We had not received any arrival instructions and the apartment is actually in a completely different looking white building.
The kitchen gear is pretty good, but lacked a few common utensils. Finding the place was stressful. We shared suggestions about some extras that impressed us at properties we have rated 10. This is a nice apartment, but not a 10. My wife and I were bouncing back and forth between an 8 and 9.
I don’t mind that he asked for a top score, but he would not quit. Francesco sent us a message later asking us to amend our review to up the score to 10. So, this is an edited review. I wanted to mark 6 for the unethical behavior, but my wife suggested 7 would be enough of a message for the host to be better next time.

Super clean & well maintained. Comfy bed. Beach, mini-market, bar and a really good Pizzeria in walkable distance. Easy car parking.
The kitchen lacks basic items such as salt, pepper, sugar, a sharp knife, a tea towel, not to mention coffee or oil… We informed the landlord about this right after our arrival. He arranged the neighbor to bring us cork screw. But that was it. Instead of just solving the problems just a lot of excuses... What a shame! Wtih just a little effort, our stay could have been much more comfortable. Perhaps it will work out better for the next guest.
