6 Mi to Dtwn Hot Springs Abode with Yard!

My family and I loved everything about this house. The whole interior is very clean, the kitchen is stocked with all essentials and so were the bathrooms. The bedrooms were all spacious, neat and comfortable. Everything worked as it should and we all loved the modern look the owners gave it.

There is nothing we didn’t like about the property.

The house is gorgeous, plenty of space, clean, linens/towels plentiful, just a beautiful house.

We booked based on, of course location and size. We were traveling to attend the AKC dog show held at the Hot Springs Convention Center. We read that the yard was partially fenced, which usually means that either the front yard or the back yard is fenced off and the other side is not. When we got to the house there wasn't a partially fenced yard. The fencing was either non-existent or just barely there. We were so looking forward to just letting the dogs loose in the yard to run and exercise after being crated most of the day at the show. We did make it work with leashes and walk time but even a partial fenced yard would have been outstanding. Other than a misunderstanding about the fenced area we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

The interior of the house is absolutely beautiful, very spacious, and very clean. We had plenty of room for a family of 6 and the dogs, too. We loved the provided dog beds for the pups and we always appreciate a nice place that will let us bring the fur babies. We loved the large Master bedroom and bathroom, the beds were comfortable and the Living area was cozy and inviting. The closets had ample space and built in shelving, which was nice, but a few hangers in each closet would have been helpful for hanging our nicer clothes that we didn't want wrinkled. The kitchen had ample pots and pans for cooking, but a few more dishes and glassware would have been nice. There was a place setting of 6, but with 6 in our group, we had to wash and dry dishes (or run the dishwasher) after each meal to be able to have clean dishes for the next meal. We ended up buying paper plates and plastic cups, so we made it work. Thank goodness there were plenty of coffee mugs because we are big coffee drinkers! We loved the fact that there was provided coffee and sugar, as well as salt and pepper (you don't always get that in vacation rentals)! There was also shampoo and conditioner as well as blow dryers in each bathroom. That is always nice in case you forget yours or have limited space in your suitcase or car for packing those things. We loved the deck and little patio area in the backyard. The sunroom was nice as well, but a few chairs in there would have made it a more enjoyable space! It has so much potential! The pups loved it in there because they had plenty of room to move around and they loved looking out the windows into the backyard. The house is even more attractive than it appears in the photos. Overall, we had a great stay! The house met all of our needs and was comfortable with plenty of space, and we loved the open floorplan. We would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

The only real complaints we have are regarding the yard. The grass had not been cut and was high and we were surprised and disappointed since they knew we were bringing our dogs. It was uncomfortable walking around in it when we took the dogs out. It is only partially fenced, so the dogs had to be on a leash while outside. It's at the corner of a busy intersection and we have one very reactive dog, so we had to be very careful when she was towards the front of the house so the traffic sounds didn't scare her and make her want to bolt. I understand that's our problem to deal with, but just so that future renters know in case you have a reactive dog like ours, or a toddler that may run into the street. There are no sidewalks, either. The other issue with the yard is the backyard backs up to a ditch and since the yard is only partially fenced and in some places the fencing is bent and not very secure, you have to be careful with children and dogs because it does pose a dangerous hazard. With all that being said, if the yard was fully fenced with a higher, secure fence (and the grass was cut), it would have been perfect!!! But we knew from the listing that the yard was not fully fenced, so we came prepared with leashes and harnesses. But that would have made the outdoor space so much more enjoyable.
