Newly built cottage near the sea and beach SE09110

This is a lovely modern cottage/cabin and we had a wonderful 3 night stay. It's small (but I think this is the norm for this style of cottage in Sweden), though it's been very well designed so everything fits in fine. Beds are very comfortable - there's not much room in the bedrooms but there is enough storage for clothes. Everything was very clean and tidy, pretty much as new. Living space is comfy, and the kitchenette is just sufficient to cook a simple meal or prepare breakfast. Large outdoor deck is nice though we didn't really have chance to use it, it's been thoughtfully located around the side of the cottage to provide privacy but still have nice forest views and the evening sun. Location is really great, with easy access to all parts of Orust island and the surrounding area, which is just beautiful. The E6 motorway is 45 minutes away, on quiet roads. Kungsviken is a small pleasant village, not too much there but it was a nice evening walk, and the nearby town of Henan has a supermarket and other facilities. Note that it's normal in Sweden to bring your own bedding/towels, and for you to clean these types of cottages yourself on departure. The info on the booking.com site suggests that bedding/towels are included, but they're not as standard, you have to arrange this after booking (through the agency via the booking.com chat facility - we did this and it was easy enough) and pay extra for these. You can also pay extra for the cleaning to be done for you after you leave, but it's a really easy place to clean (being so new and well designed, all cleaning materials were provided), so we did it ourselves and had no issues at all with that.

The shower hose/spray was broken, and there wasn't much water pressure possibly because of this. There was also a washing machine in the bathroom but it wasn't connected yet so not usable (we didn't need it anyway). The rest of the bathroom is brilliantly done, so I think these are likely temporary issues that will be fixed by the owner (we noted it in the visitors book). Other than those minor points, there's nothing we didn't like, IT WAS A LOVELY PLACE TO SPEND A FEW DAYS!
