Emerald2 Room at Brighton Beach 2Min Walk to Ocean & Subway Chic Stay

Hello , thank you so much for the hospitality, your place was exactly what I needed. It is about 2 blocks away from the train station, many groceries shop and restaurants around as well . Ill definetly book again and recommend this place.

Quiet - clean -

I wish they put another white sheet under the comforter cover- I had to cover with the comforter- and I wish they added a shower towel.

The room has three layers of security - the front door, the entrance to the bedrooms, and the individual bedroom. There is a large shared kitchen, a couch and table to use in the shared space. Wifi worked just fine. Staff responded to my texts. Mellow family neighborhood with authentic Russian / Ukranian / Armenian delis, restaurants, and stores. Beach access.

The building is very old, so typical of NYC - a couple cockroaches in the entryway on the first floor because the jambs have gaps and maintenance people come through a large service door in the back. (No roaches in the apartment.) There was an AC unit in the room, but it wouldn't blow much cold air and actually made the room warmer from being on. (Bring a small portable fan in hot weather.) The AC window insert had some gaps, so I had to chase some mosquitoes and a hornet down, and shoved socks into the gaps. All the same, this is a historic building, so all that is to be expected. It is safe, and the bed is clean and comfortable. You have to retrieve the keys from a lock box attached to the bottom of a post outside, which can be challenging in the rain at night. The apartment lock was tricky to turn; I thought I had the wrong keys for quite a while. Turn it ALL the way to the left, more than you would think.
