⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Stay at Popolaras Traditional House
We are three friends who have been holidaying together for the past 12 years, and Popolaras Traditional House in Zakynthos Town ticked every box for us. We were looking for somewhere with air conditioning, three bedrooms, outdoor space, and great views – and this property excelled in all of these.
The house has stunning views, especially from one of the balconies, and the large outside terrace was perfect for relaxing together. We only used three of the bedrooms – one was a single without air con – but this wasn’t an issue for us. Everything was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The only very slight downside was that the showers could be a little temperamental with temperature and flow, but it really didn’t cause us any problems.
The location, up a hill, gives you spectacular views over Zakynthos Town and the sea. It’s just a short walk to a supermarket and a fantastic bakery. The owners were super friendly and available if needed (though we didn’t require any help), and we found parking easy with our rental car.
The weather was perfect during our stay, and we found Zakynthos Town and the island absolutely stunning. The only place we weren’t keen on was Laganas, which was exactly the stereotype of 18–30s party-goers, but we only passed through en route to hire a boat and explore the beautiful Marathonisi island.
Overall, we would recommend Popolaras Traditional House very highly. It was the perfect base for our holiday, and we’d be happy to return.
