Annette and Uwe are amazing hosts—friendly, attentive, flexible, and full of insights and tips about the region and what to visit. The suggested hike to Beyenburg became the highlight of our trip, and we definitely won't forget the exclusive tour of the old brewery building. Our room was modern and spacious with plenty of natural light, and we felt immediately at home. The woodwork, handcrafted by our hosts, really set the room apart. The shared kitchen was a great place to enjoy a morning coffee, have dinner, or simply relax in the evening. We were pleasantly surprised by the town of Schwelm: it has a charming pedestrian zone with many restaurants and bakeries. The Schwelm train station, just a couple of minutes from the guesthouse, offers direct trains to Wuppertal Hbf (10 mins) and Düsseldorf (30 mins). It's only 3 minutes to Wuppertal Oberbarmen, where you can switch to the magnificent Schwebebahn.

Die Einrichtung war recht neu und geschmackvoll. Die Wohnung lag sehr ruhig.

Kein Frühstück in der Nähe möglich. Das Zimmer war spartanisch ausgestattet. Die moderne Nachtbeleuchtung war unzweckmäßig. Ein Fernseher war nicht vorhanden. Das Wasser zum Duschen wurde nicht richtig heiß. Die Wohnung war bei Bezug kalt und die Temperatur erreichte auch am nächsten Morgen keine behagliche Wärme. Die Nachtabsenkung dauerte zu lange. Der Kühlschrank in der Gemeinschaftsküche machte einen unsauberen Eindruck.
