Minerva Charming House Elegant & Central Stay in Salerno

Wov... et sjældent fund. Har aldrig boet et sted, hvor der er tænkt så meget på alt. Så mange detaljer. Både smukke, praktiske og finurlige. I hvert eneste rum. Så veludført. Og den udendørs terrasse. Ganske unik. Ligeså enestående som lejligheden er, ligeså hjælpsom er værten Davide.

Bare til info. Lejligheden ligger højt oppe i Salerno toppet med beliggenhed på tredje sal. Det skal man være indstillet på.

A very “cute” little studio apartment in a location close to everything, the owner /manager David was very helpful with suggestions and recommendations for restaurants and itineraries for Salerno. The bed is very comfortable. The air con and wi.fi good. The living area with kitchen alcove is very small but adequate for breakfast. The bathroom is compact but functional, the shower fittings work well however one does need to be very small indeed to get in the minute shower. The enclosed courtyard is a pleasant outside seating area.

It is advertised as a “One-Bedroom Apartment with Terrace”. . Private bathroom • TERRACE • Free toiletries • Bathrobe •INNER COURTYARD VIEW. • (((((((( FROM WIKEPEDIA ENCYCLOPEDIA: A TERRACE is an external, raised, open, flat area in either a landscape (such as a park or garden) near a building, or as a roof terrace on a flat roof. .......A COURTYARD is an open, often enclosed or semi-enclosed area situated inside a building complex or between structures, typically open to the sky. )))) When I booked the enticing feature photo was of a delightful terrace with a magnificent view, next to it were the lists of 10/10 reviews raving about a lovely terrace, naturally I was looking forward to enjoying this but that photo is actually from the Minerva Gardens nearby.. very misleading, ( BUT I now see that on B.Com's site there are 5 general city photos with the Minerva gardens terrace photo much less prominent!!!!!) The apartment is quite dark because the walls surrounding the enclosed courtyard are two stories high and prevent much light from reaching inside especially the kitchen/living room which has only very high up windows. On warm summer days one can leave the apartments entrance door open to allow more light in. However there are a multitude of well placed bright lights which compensate. The sofa next to the kitchen table is the extra bed but those using the kitchen/living area as a bedroom do have their separate bathroom, very necessary as the main bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. I stayed for two weeks and was surprised to be asked to pay Eu 50.0 if I wanted fresh linen and the apartment cleaned once. However I was offered clean bath towels. I thought it most presumptuous and rude to be asked specifically to leave a review of 10/10

Great location in Salerno (* see my caveat below)! Easy access to all of the old city, Minerva Gardens, Duomo, waterfront, etc. Lots of restaurants nearby. Property appeared recently remodeled, nice accommodations with private courtyard, updated kitchen. Host is very responsive and helpful. *caveat: If you are on foot, the property is a bit of an uphill climb and can be tiring depending on your condition. We are in our ‘70’s and enjoy walking (we do a lot of it) and had no troubles. The property is easily reached by taxi.
