Beautiful Self-Contained Retreat

I stayed at the Buddina Apartments in Malinya Drive Buddina for two nights from the 19th August.2026. The host, Eritz, was very friendly and helpful and I had a pleasant stay. At first glance, from the street, the building looked a little tired; however on going to the rear of the property I found two cabins (pods) one of which was to be my accommodation for my stay. They appeared to be almost new. Quite a quirky little place that was immaculately clean and although not large, it was very suitable for my needs. It has a comfortable double bed, A couch and table and 2 chairs. in the kitchen area is a fridge, microwave, sandwich toaster and kettle. There is cutlery, plates, bowls wine and drink glasses along with drinking mugs. Towels are also provided along with shampoos, body wash etc. and soap. The hot water in the shower is fantastic, both hot and of good pressure. There is a large TV with multiple streaming channels along with good Wi-Fi. I was able to put my car undercover in the carport at the front of the property and was able to come and go as I pleased. It’s a short walk to the massive Kawana shopping centre and also the beach and the surf club are not far away. All in all, in spite of its unusual nature, and perhaps because of it, I would definitely recommend this place.

No electric fry pan or any way to cook only a microwave and a sandwich maker. Needs a bedside lamp so your not tripping on the way to light switch. The step up uneven floor is a worry needs some reflective.tape on it. Too much glass at front and bathroom door. Struggled with privacy.

The overall dwelling wasn’t what I expected for example, my wife and I have never seen anything like it before. Living in it was so cozzie and comfortable. We sincerely enjoyed the simplicity of the place. Before entering, our Host, Eric was very attentive and very friendly. Thumbs up to you mate.

Couldn’t pull curtain across main door due to hinge that operates the door.
