The hosts are local, well-meaning, and nice people who seemed to want to help. The apartment itself is quite good if you get your air conditioner working when outside is almost 40 degrees. The apartment is very close to the best part of Malinska to stay in. It is literally 200 max to the beach. Great restaurant options in there.

Unfortunately, the property is not being run professionally, which severely impacted our one-week holiday. There was zero information provided about the flat or basic local rules, such as how to use the coloured bins or how the recycling process worked, enough bags, etc. We had to explicitly ask for body towels, as we were initially only given small face towels. The worst part of our stay was the air conditioning, which did not work properly from day one. Halfway through it gave in completely. After spending a miserable whole night with no AC in the summer heat, we had to reach out multiple times to get a solution. Instead of fixing the main unit, the hosts finally provided a mobile floor AC unit. This machine was incredibly loud and disruptive, making it impossible to sleep properly. They never came back with a permanent solution. While the hosts themselves are pleasant, they lack the basic organisational and communication skills needed to run a holiday rental. Due to the lack of sleep halfway through our week under extreme heat, our holiday felt spoilt and wasted. We would not stay here again, and we do not plan to come back to the island anytime soon. I am not sure why it is showing as a solo traveller, but I travelled there with my wife and 3-year-old, which made it impossible to stay fresh under the heat at the place.
