A perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the peace and charm of a quaint French country village with its solid stone buildings and meandering cobbled ways, perched on an escarpment above the Allier river in the heart of the Auvergne, with breathtaking views across the valley . Estelle and Eric are the most perfect of hosts, friendly and welcoming, discreetly respectful of your privacy, yet immediately available if you need help. The Chambre du Moine is spotless and beautifully furnished, with shuttered windows, warm wooden floors, a small buffet console with a china tea set and coffee and tea making facilities. A chest of drawers and two rows of hangers are provided for your clothes. There is a couch and coffee table at which to relax, and a bookcase set into the stone wall, generously filled with additional reading material. The beds, with side tables and lamps, are comfortably soft with generous plump European pillows and crisp white French linen. Estelle adds delightful personal touches like fresh flowers and magazines. The ensuite bathroom is compact but adequate and the whole unit is completely spotless. There is a small refrigerator, plates, glasses, cutlery and a sink located at the ground floor entrance. I was lucky enough to call it my home from home for a total of three weeks and have many happy memories. So grab yourself some croissants each day before from the bakery in the village nearby, and enjoy a continental breakfast before heading out to explore this beautiful region.

Emplacement très apprécié. Endroit calme dans un lieu original et un paysage bucolique. Chambre très bien . Literie et équipement de très bonne qualité. Rapport qualité prix excellent.
