About this house rental
Independent nineteenth-century stone guest house, 72 m², on the edge of the Trois Pignons forest, in the village of Noisy-sur-École. Fireplace, exposed beams, terracotta floor tiles, and a private garden behind the house where meals are taken outside in summer. It is very quiet: mostly birdsong, and owls at night.
*** THE HOUSE
The guest house faces the owners' house, within the same property.
Ground floor: living room with the fireplace, kitchen (dishwasher), one bedroom and its shower room with toilet. Two doors open onto the garden.
Upstairs: two bedrooms and a bathroom with toilet, and the washing machine.
The upper floor is reached from outside, by two stone staircases — one on the entrance side, one on the garden side.
3 bedrooms, sleeps 6: one queen-size bed and two double beds. Fibre broadband and wifi.
*** WITH CHILDREN
One bedroom with toys, books and a wooden play kitchen. Cot, high chair and baby bath provided. Hammock in the garden, outdoor games (pétanque, Mölkky), board games. Playground and football pitch near the village hall.
*** AROUND
Footpaths and bouldering circuits start on foot. A bike hire shop in the neighbouring village delivers to the house — adults' and children's bikes, and crash pads. Milly-la-Forêt and its swimming pool, 4 km. Barbizon, 15 minutes. Fontainebleau, its château and INSEAD, 20 minutes by car.
*** SHOPS
A grocery shop at Le Vaudoué, the next village. Bakery, butcher and cheesemonger at Milly-la-Forêt (4 km). Supermarket at Oncy-sur-École.
*** ACCESS AND PARKING
Entry is through the gate, then a paved path runs alongside the main house to the guest house. Cars come in to load and unload luggage; for the rest of the stay there is room in front of the church, 50 m away. The entrance is shared between the two houses, the outdoor spaces are separate.
An EV charging point 1 km away, a Tesla supercharger at Ury (7 km, 12 minutes).
*** GOOD TO KNOW
There is no mobile signal on the property, and very little in the village. The wifi is good and wifi calls work well.
Check-in from 5 pm, check-out before 10 am. Only registered guests are allowed on the property.
