Great location at ground level. Minor issues - 2 soiled pillows on sofa & refrigerator water dispenser not working. I was surprised that Papakea Resort charged $17/day of stay to use the pool & hot tub. This is the first time in 40 years in HI I had to pay for this standard amenity.

Great location and easy ground floor access. Our unit, E110, was well furnished & clean. Detractions were inoperable filtered water on refrigerator and two soiled blue pillows on sofa. We were charged $17 per day to use the pool. First time in 40 years in HI we had to pay extra for pool.

We used this for overflow bed space/bathroom so really didn't use the unit beyond that. It is nicely decorated, the bed is comfortable. The kitchen nicely appointed and appears to have anything one might need. However, the fancy refrigerator is not connected to a water supply so there is no ice maker. A definite negative.
Papakea is exceptional as a property/resort. It is possible to walk on the beach all the way to Black's Rock (about 1.5 miles).
