Obviously for gourmets and gourmands, many addresses are available nearby such as: the creperie St Maurice (the best pancakes I know), the Mouettes (an extraordinary view and a starred chef who offers an affordable bistro formula), the Tire-Bouchon in Lorient (a reference), the Moule qui Saoule a stone's throw away on foot which offers excellent Pizza and very good mussels with Kari Gosse (the local spice) etc, etc.

As for visits, there is something for everyone between the offshore racing centre at La Base in Lorient where a good part of the world's offshore racing fleet is gathered, Larmor-Plage with its magnificent Romanesque church, the small port of Lomener, Port-Louis and its ramparts dating from Vauban or in Finistère Le Pouldu just opposite Guidel-Plages quickly accessible by boat there is a seasonal shuttle every 20' and it is only a 5' crossing, the small port of Doëlan (a postal card) where the Doc Martin series was filmed with Thierry L'hermitte, Pont-Aven the city of painters and many other places...
