Alice at the Banten House is a beautifully restored historic landmark, showcasing the architectural elegance of its time. The exterior features classic Southern charm with its inviting porch and lush landscaping, while the interior has been thoughtfully updated to blend modern amenities with the building's original character so keep that in mind when walking up the stairs to the second and third bedrooms. The stairs are a little tough to climb but worth it in the end!
Whether you`re traveling for leisure, work, or a special occasion, Alice at The Banten House offers a charming, immersive experience that captures the essence of Jackson, Louisiana. With its unique themed rooms, historic charm, and prime location, it`s the perfect home base for your adventures.
Guests can use everything in the main house. The backyard and laundry room may be shared from time to time with guests that stay in the Courtyard Airbnb.
We live nearby and will be available for anything you may need whether it be directions or information about things to do in the area.
There is a great training area for Ironman competition that is popular as well as train museums and great dining walking distance. Multiple antique stores are a stones throw away as well if you want to spend the day antiquing.
There is parking in front of the house and the entire town is easy to park and walk and very little traffic.
No smoking indoors.
Respect quiet hours from 10pm to 7 am.
No parties or events.
Please be careful with any of the decor.

The property was clean and themed nicely. Small toiletries (soap, lotion, etc.) were provided. Kitchen had a stocked Keurig which was nice along with tea and a kettle. The property owner was very nice and responded to messages and questions very quickly. Keep in mind that the home sits right on a busy road and neither upstairs bedroom has a door, so bring ear plugs! Also, the claw foot tub in the (only) bathroom does fit the theme but it is quite a climb to get up into and the hot and cold knobs are reversed (hot is cold and cold is hot) - same for all of the sinks.

We enjoyed the Alice in Wonderland theme. Beds comfortable. Was a little difficult to get in and out of tub.

The cutest little house. Perfectly coordinated chaos of Alice in Wonderland. Our 8 year old was in heaven! Just be mindful of the steep stairs going to the bedrooms. Located next to antique shops and really great restaurant.
