About this house rental
Take some real time to unwind and enjoy each other’s company… at the SeaLion, my idyllic cottage surrounded by greenery with a cozy garden in a child- and dog-friendly park. The park is located along the North Holland Canal, where you can enjoy a lovely walk with your dog.
Bicycles, e-bikes, go-karts, and boats are available for rent at the park. There’s a playground for kids, a soccer field, table tennis, and mini-golf—and yet it’s remarkably peaceful.
Schoorl with its famous climbing dune, the North Holland beaches with kiteboarding and surfing schools, beautiful biking and hiking trails through the dunes, the most beautiful tulip fields and tulip routes, mountain bike trails, horseback riding trails, the art village of Bergen, the cheese market in Alkmaar… everything is close by.
The house has two floors.
On the first floor, there’s a spacious kitchen with a cozy sitting area where you can enjoy long meals and conversations together. For coffee lovers, there’s a Nespresso machine and an authentic drip coffee maker. There’s a powerful oven available to help you create just about anything. In the kitchen, you’ll find everything you need to put a fantastic meal on the table. The dishwasher takes care of the cleanup after dinner.
The living room is spacious and bright, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows at the back, offering an unobstructed view of the lovely garden. There is a 2- and 3-person sofa, a coffee table, a TV, and internet access.
Also on the first floor is the bathroom with a toilet, shower, and sink, a storage room with a refrigerator, and a drying rack with clothespins. There is a crate for a medium-sized dog. The park offers laundry facilities; tokens are available at the front desk.
The stairs lead to the second floor, where there are two bedrooms. The largest bedroom has a Pullman double bed. You’ll sleep really well! This room has a built-in closet and a fan. A baby crib is provided, along with an extra mattress and a bed tent for the young indoor camper.
The smaller bedroom has a 1.60-wide bed suitable for two people, hanging space for clothes, a closet, and a fan.
In the evening, enjoy the garden with the mood lighting. There is a round dining table with 4 adjustable chairs with cushions, as well as a rattan lounge sofa for relaxing.
Parking is easy in one of the parking spaces near the cottage.
