About this house rental
The windmill offers a story in itself. Registered as an ethnographic/industrial heritage monument with classification number 98 (hence its name), it was renovated with care and style and transformed from just a ruin into a modern and comfortable vacation house that will make you feel instantly at home
The mill has three floors:
- At the top is the romantic master bedroom. From the bed, you get an unobstructed view of the countryside, with the sea in the distance.
- The bathroom is on the middle floor, with easy access from both bedrooms.
- At the bottom you will find the second bedroom with a double sofa-bed, great for another couple or for kids. The living room, also on the bottom floor, has an open kitchen and large floor-to-ceiling windows on the side facing the view - an ideal spot from which to watch the sunset with a glass of wine!
Other things to note
O Moinho 98 is located just outside the small village of Toxofal do Cima, with easy access to all the amenities of the nearby city of Lourinhã (5 mins).
It is also close to must-see historical sites such as Obidos city and castle (20 mins) and to the famous beaches of Areia Branca and Peralta (5/10 mins), Supertubos in Peniche (10/15 mins), and Nazare (30 mins). mins).
Other attractions in the area include:
- Lourinhã Dino Park, a great amusement park for kids (5 mins)
- Buddha Eden Garden of Peace, a local curiosity (20 min)
- The city of Caldas da Rainha and its beautiful traditional ceramics (30 mins)
