The location was ideal to explore upper Michigan, lower Michigan and of course the Island via ferry. The cabin was clean and appealing with the woodwork walls and comfortable beds. I couldn't get hot water out of either sink, but the shower provided it. The kitchen could use bowls (for soup) and perhaps a knife to prep food. Otherwise it was a cabin adventure I expected. We loved the location of this property- SO close to downtown and very walkable. The downside was that the alley behind the house is home to large dumpsters that had a LOUD garbage pickup at 5:45 and multiple deliveries around that same time. The windows are not sound proof and they were loud enough to hear over our sound machine. The TV in the bedroom with the door is also not set up so we couldn’t enjoy that once our toddler went to bed in the doorless room. We liked the flooring and wood paneling updates but wish the kitchen got some of that same attention. We were also frustrated that the bathroom door didn’t close at all. The host did not respond to my WIFI question which was also disappointing. Some hooks on the wall would be a nice addition since there was no where to hang out jackets. Overall, great for a one night stay but more than that would have been tough.
