One of our favorite parts of staying at The Barndo Retreat is how easy it is to enjoy a full day at Stone Lake.
The newly improved beach, boardwalk, and public pier offer swimming, fishing, and beautiful sunset views just minutes away. Guests can rent kayaks, paddleboards, and pedal boats seasonally, or simply spend the day building sandcastles, enjoying the water, and grabbing ice cream nearby.
Stone Lake is known for excellent fishing, including largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and panfish. Bringing a boat? A public launch and boat slips are available nearby.
Enjoy the lake all day, then return to your private hot tub, fire pit, and peaceful retreat.

The barndo is an amazing place to stay and the host Alyssa is wonderful and very helpful! Responded within minutes of me messaging her with questions. We had my daughter's 13th birthday party there and they all had so much fun! Would 100% recommend this place to family and friends.

We had an amazing time at this house! Alysa was incredibly communicative, accommodating, and a fantastic host. The home was very clean and in excellent condition. There were plenty of activities on-site, and we loved how close it was to great restaurants and local attractions. Would highly recommend staying here!
