About this house rental
Experience a peaceful, cozy, country getaway in this home away from home. While only a 7-minute drive to downtown Galena, or a 20-minute drive to Dubuque, this split-level home offers gorgeous views of surrounding nature while also including plenty of room inside and outside for you, friends, or family to enjoy. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to see a variety of local wildlife, including deer, foxes, owls, etc.! The outdoor deck, lower patio, and yard are wonderful spots to relax, explore, or stargaze. The scenic roads this home is located on are wonderful for daytime walking while still being less than 3 miles from town. Even in winter months, you can happily enjoy snowy scenery, Christmas time shopping in downtown Galena, or skiing at Chestnut Mountain Resort. In a world of investment properties and rentals, rest assured knowing we’re offering stays in our family home of +40 years as a means to hold onto this house until the next generation is able to reside here in a few short years. Because of this, the house has recently undergone some much-needed construction, with multiple projects still in the pipeline. *Doorbell camera on property for security.

This home is just as described in a nice area just a few minutes from town! Tim was a great host who was very responsive! My friends and I had a girls weekend getaway looking to relax and this house was the perfect place for this! Very quiet and relaxing! We will definitely come back to stay next time we're on the area. Thanks Tim!!

Nice home in a great location - close to the river, parks and downtown. It's a perfect size for a couple or a family. Lots of comfy seating upstairs in the living room. We visited over a hot weekend in July and the AC kept us cool and comfy - such a plus. The large windows overlooking a wooded area were lovely - we remarked how pretty it must be in fall or winter too.
