Step into solitude at Westhaven Woods, a private haven in Trinidad, where the forest meets the sea. Discover the charm of this private retreat, conveniently located within a 1 mile stroll to Trinidad State beach and the seaside village of Trinidad.
Step inside this inviting 2 bedroom/ 1 bath home, where comfort and style seamlessly blend. Two well-appointed bedrooms each with Queen beds provide a restful stay while a versatile den offers additional space for relaxation or playing games. The shared bathroom offers a shower. The living and dining areas are open and airy , perfect for gathering with loved ones. The fully equipped kitchen boasts all the modern amenities needed to create delicious meals. Please note there is no dishwasher but the kitchen is very well stocked with dishware! Guests will love gathering around the crackling warmth of the cozy wood-burning stove, which is the main heat source or venturing outside to the enchanting fire pit to share stories under the starlit sky. A dedicated laundry room, complete with a washer and dryer, adds to your convenience, while enhanced speed Wi-Fi ensures seamless connectivity throughout the house. No garage but ample onsite parking for up to 3 vehicles.
Westhaven Woods has an ideal location, for coastal Redwood adventures! A short walk or drive will lead you to the heart of Trinidad, where you can explore this quaint fishing village. Stock up on essentials at Murphy's Market & Deli, a full service grocery store. Start the day at Beachcomber Cafe, for a delicious latte and local fare. Try a savory waffle cone at The Lighthouse Grill. Drop by for some slices at Headies Pizza and Pour. Walk on Trinidad pier then grab a cup of clam chowder at Seascape Restaurant. Trinidad Eatery is a crowd favorite for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Hike Trinidad Head and stroll on Trinidad State Beach, a mere 10-minute walk or a quick 3-minute drive. Shop at our unique boutiques Trinidad Trading Gallery and Windansea. Go wine tasting at locally owned Moonstone Crossing Winery, a short journey further down the road. Very cozy cabin space which is very conveniently located right next to the Redwood Forest. Beautiful yard and view of the river and mountain across the street. The wood stove kept us warm in the cool evenings and the full kitchen and laundry was great to have!

I really wanted to like this rental! I saw all the other positive reviews from folks who rented it previously and thought the property would be amazing. Unfortunately, when I checked into the property, there was some damage to a couple of the walls (a hole from a doorknob in the kitchen and a moon shaped cut/puncture in the bathroom) and one of the refrigerator doors was broken and required moving the broken part back to its original place so that the door would close every time I opened the door. The refrigerator also leaked overnight for some reason. Also each of the chairs for the dining room table had multiple stains all over the fabric. In defense of the hosts, they offered to send a technician out to look at the refrigerator for both the door and the leak. I’m someone who doesn’t particularly enjoy having folks come into a rental while I’m not there so I told the host it wasn’t necessary to send a tech out for the door and the leak had seemed to to stop after I wiped up the water on the ground and inside the refrigerator. The hosts were communicative during my stay so that was appreciated. I just wish the property was in better working order and that the damage to the walls had been repaired prior to my arrival. I also would’ve appreciated some chair covers for the heavily stained dining chairs. Other than the issues listed above, the property was really cute and affordable and located in a great area for sightseeing around Redwood National Park.
