The host was so conscientious and quick to answer our questions throughout our stay. When she found out we didn't drink alcohol, she went out of her way to get us a local non-alcoholic treat. The view from the apartment is paradisiacal - the harbor by day and light from the mountain at night. The host decorated the apartment beautifully and the kitchen was well-appointed. The host is absolutely in the details. There's a dedicated parking spot and gated entry.

The steep walk from downtown was compensated by the view.

The owner was the kindest host. Met us at an agreed time to obtain the keys to an exceptionally well appointed apartment, that is airy and has wonderful views over Fort-de-France. Helped us via whatsapp numerous times with small questions and even offerred some great advice for spots to visit around Martinique. The apartment has everything that you need for a short stay and is safe, gated and has a private dedicated parking space.

It is a short walk downhill into downtown Fort-de-France, but we had a car and this was not an issue for us.

L'appartement était impeccable, avec tout l'équipement dont nous avions besoin, frigo, poêle, micro-ondes, lave-vaisselle, laveuse à linge, cafetière, etc. Notre hôtesse Karène nous a accueillis comme des amis ou des membres de la famille (avec un "ti-punch" ;)), nous a fait faire le tour de la propriété, nous a suggéré plein d'activités et de choses à faire, et est demeurée disponible pour répondre à toutes questions durant notre séjour (C'était notre voisine de palier). Tous les Martiniquais que nous avons rencontrés (en passant par les voisin.es, les chauffeurs de taxi, les résidents et les commerçants) sont tous des gens extrêmement accueillants et aimables! Tout comme nous, les Acadiens. :)

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Karène, der Gastgeberin, empfangen. Sie hat uns eine entspannt Ankunft ermöglicht und alles liebevoll vorbereitet, inkl. Zutaten für einen Ti-Punch ;-). Die Wohnung ist wunderbar eingerichtet, sehr geschmackvoll und wirklich sauber. Besonders gut hat uns die Loggia mit gemütlichem Sitzbereich und der Küche gefallen sowie einer tollen Aussicht auf die Stadt und das Meer, so konnten wir draußen sitzen und waren gleichzeitig drinnen, da sich die großen Fenster durch Jalousien schließen ließen. Wirklich perfekt für einen Aufenthalt auf Martinique. Die Stadt und der Stadtstrand sind in wenigen Minuten erreichbar und dennoch ist es eine ruhige Straße, in der man wohnt. Es gab in jedem Zimmer einen Ventilator, so dass es überhaupt kein Problem ist, dass es keine Klimaanlage gibt. Wir haben uns so wohlgefühlt und wären gerne noch länger geblieben.

Manchmal war es nachts etwas unruhig, weil offenbar Autorennen stattfanden und häufiger geböllert wurde. Vielleicht lag es daran, dass wir kurz vor Jahresende dort waren. Daran kann die Vermieterin natürlich nichts ändern und es hat uns auch nicht davon abgehalten, unsere Zeit dort sehr zu genießen.
