Wonderful host Tom provided recommendations of local restaurants and activities. The room was very clean, kitchen was fully stocked. Conveniently located within a few minutes walk from central areas.

Das Zimmer liegt in einer Wohngemeinschaft. Einige Räume werden für Urlaubsgäste vermietet, andere Bewohner habe sich länger eingemietet, sieht man an den Namenschildern am Eingang. Zwei Gemeinschaftküchen und drei Bäder vorhanden, alle mit Waschmaschinen ausgestattet. Unterkunft ist für einzelene Übernachtungen oder auch für längere Aufenthalte geeignet. Supermärkte in der Nähe vorhanden. Gastgeber Tom sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Gibt auch Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung oder für Motorradtouren (er fährt selbst)

My stay here was fantastic! I came to Sogndal to use it as a base for some hiking. I mentioned this to Tom in an email. Upon my arrival, he brought two excellent hiking books to my room. One of them gave detailed descriptions and information on the best hikes throughout the Sognefjord region. Tom also told me about some of his own favorite hikes in the area, which was very helpful. Tom treats his guests with warmth and kindness and takes an interest in them as individuals, which was a refreshing change from the more impersonal experience I find at most accommodations. Another great convenience was the washing machine, which I was free to use for my hiking clothes. I was able to bring the drying rack into my room, and everything was dry and ready to pack by the following morning. Although the bathrooms are shared, this was never an issue. Not once during my entire stay was the bathroom occupied when I needed it, and there was another bathroom available if necessary. The bathroom was always clean and well-stocked. There is also a kitchen with everything a traveler might need, and it was kept impeccably clean as well. Thanks to Tom’s hospitality and the excellent location, I had a truly wonderful stay. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sogndal.
