Modern and spacious, secure building, large balcony

Quite a lot of noise throughout the night but to be expected with a central location

This is a very nice, modern apartment. It feels pretty brand new, spotlessly clean, spacious, kitted out with nice furniture, comfortable beds, great facilities in the kitchen and a lovely terrace where we sat for breakfast every morning and evening drinks. The location is excellent: on the edge of the old town with easy access to plenty of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and beaches. The train station is an easy 10 minute walk away for day trips along the coast.

Air conditioning: on arrival, the apartment was warmer than outside. Even with the thermostat set to its lowest (18°C), the bedrooms never dropped below 24°C and the living room stayed around 28°C, despite keeping shutters and curtains closed. We were told the system is centrally controlled by building management to run 10°C below the outside temperature, but we never got close to that gap. My sons' pillows were damp with sweat as they couldn't sleep in the heat. We reported it and staff came to check the units, saying they'd follow up with building management, but we heard nothing further. For a family of 4 in a July heatwave, this was a real discomfort that felt avoidable. A few smaller things that would make a genuine difference for future guests: - Only 2 cereal bowls for a 4-person apartment — 4 would help at breakfast - Only 1 dishwasher tablet provided — 2-3 more for a week's stay would be appreciated, since nobody wants to buy a full pack on holiday - Only 2 toilet rolls provided for 4 people for a week - a couple more would have been appreciated - Beach towels/umbrellas to borrow would be great, given how close the apartment is to the beach - Some shade for the balcony/terrace in the afternoon sun would help - We were initially told we couldn't have an extra key for the 4 of us, but after asking again we were given one. It made a noticeable difference and would be worth offering upfront
