My husband and I love both the city and nature; we enjoy great food and people-watching but crave quiet at the end of the day. We chose Amalfi for its access to hiking trails and dining, and Dimora la Fenice provided the perfect base. We visited in March, but I imagine in the summer it's an even more welcome oasis from the crowds.
While the town center is charming and bustling, the property is a scenic 20-minute bus ride up the mountain. As a first-timer, I was initially unsure about the logistics, but Marika reached out three days early to walk me through ferry, bus, and private driver options. The bus ride itself is an experience—essentially a postcard view at every turn!
The property is comfortably modern and beautifully decorated. Luxurious bathroom. Very clean, we felt at home instantly. It was easy to reach hiking paths and tourist sites once we knew where to buy bus and ferry tickets, yet magical to return to the hillside with the locals each evening with the option to buy fresh produce for the well-equipped kitchen. There are also several nice restaurants in Pogerola. And the view? People pay a premium for it at high-end restaurants, but we got to live in it. We will definitely be back!
I would have liked to stay longer. If a traveler wants to be right in the center of Amalfi, then this would probably be a bit out of the way for them.

The property is probably one of the best apartments we’ve ever stayed in. It’s very clean. And It has an amazing view. It’s in a small town and has a very beautiful, quaint square with a church. It’s in such a beautiful place. And the host, Marika, is so nice and helpful.

דירה מקסימה - חדשה (נפתחה בקיץ 2025) .עיצוב יפיפה ברמה גבוהה. חלונות ענקיים מכניסים המון אור. מכל מקום בדירה נשקף נוף מדהים של מפרץ אמלפי וכן מהחצר המשותפת עם הג'קוזי. תאורת לילה בחצר מאוד נעימה.
נקי ומצוחצח. חדר שינה גדול ויוקרתי. חדר רחצה מעוצב - מים חמים בשפע, מגבות גדולות מפנקות. מטבח מאובזר (כיריים אינדוקציה) חשיבה על כל הפרטים הקטנים. בעלי המקום מאוד מאוד נחמדים ומאוד שירותיים. הדירה ממוקמת בשכונה הררית (Pogerola) של העיר אמלפי . נסיעה ברכב לאמלפי כ 10 דקות. יש אוטובוס במרחק של כ 5 דקות הליכה בירידה מתונה מהדירה. יש חניה בסמוך לדירה - אבל לקחת בחשבון כ 20 מדרגות (מדרגות נוחות) כדי להגיע לדירה. מכולת וחנות לכלי בית בקרבת הדירה
הדירה כל כך יפה עם נוף מדהים - שלא רוצים לצאת ממנה :-)

Erg goed en mooi ingericht, prachtig uitzicht, goede locatie, vlakbij het kleine centrum.
Parkeren op zondag was even een probleem. Het hele gebied is parkeren voor vergunninghouders. De kleine gratis en openbare parkeerplaats stond 's middags vol, maar er kwam plek later op de middag. De maan- en dinsdag was er voldoende P-gelegenheid
