Elysian Residences Heraklion

Our hosts could not have been nicer, we had great communications throughout and Renae was so very helpful with handy apps for the supermarket and taxis, and even with little freshly baked treats! The accommodation was spotless, with nice big comfy bed (pillows were too hard for us both but there were cushions we could use instead) there was some fruit on arrival and wine in the fridge which was a lovely touch, and there were so many lovely little extras which really show that this host wants to provide a really great experience for the holiday maker!! The pool area is beautifully clean, plenty of comfy loungers and chairs in and out of shaded areas so there is always somewhere to sit if you get too hot! There's a shower to use before going in the lovely pool, and a BBQ (which we didn't use) All in all, we were very comfortable and really enjoyed our stay, thank you!!

The house is a shared space, with another unit and the family/owners themselves sharing the pool area. While this is not an issue in itself I feel it could be made a bit clearer in the description as it might put some off who wish for total privacy? I felt a little strange, like we were intruding on the family home at times (although I am absolutely certain that this was most certainly not meant!! It's just how I felt at times. There was also a little building work going on occasionally, and discreetly) The location is quite isolated and not close enough for anyone other than younger fitter people to walk to the supermarket or into town to the bars and restaurants, although the supermarket app was brilliant and food was ordered and delivered in about half an hour! It's also quite close to a pretty big road and the airport so you can hear traffic and see the planes take off and land through the day, happily the house is very quiet and I never heard a thing while inside!

Interior is beautifully presented and stocked with everything you might need, including some much needed snacks on the first night after a long day travelling! Pool area feels really luxurious, and is a great space to spend lazy sunbathing days or evenings. Comfortable walking distance to the nearest supermarket, a huge toy store and a few food options. Only a few minutes drive to the city centre/port, and very close to the airport. Thanks again to Renae and Manos for making our stay so incredible!

Going home :(

Ηταν όλα καταπληκτικά! Το σπίτι πεντακάθαρο, ολοκαίνουργιο , ο χώρος της πισίνας καταπληκτικός, την καθάριζαν κάθε μέρα . Ιδιωτικότητα , το parking στα συν. Κεράσματα στο δωμάτιο. Ολα τέλεια και για εμάς και για τα παιδιά μας. Θα έρθουμε σίγουρα ξανά!

Ήταν ένα εξαιρετικά άνετο , καθαρό και με περισσότερες παροχές από ότι ίσως χρειαστεί μια οικογένεια κατάλυμα . Η θερμή υποδοχή της Ρενάη και της κόρης της , μας έκανε να νιώσουμε σαν το σπίτι μας . Ήταν διπλα μας για ότι χρειαστήκαμε. Ο χώρος της πισίνας είναι πολύ άνετος και καθαρός . Θα επιστρέψουμε ξανά !
