RECI Beach Cottage

Este o casuta si o locatie minunata! Intr-un mic sat de vacanta foarte pitoresc, intre pini, cu un aer foarte curat, foarte aproape de lacul Reci, unde toate casutele sunt din lemn, aproape la fel. Prin micul sat se plimba pisici si caini prietenosi, gaste, rate, gaini… 😅 Casuta este dotata cu absolut tot ce ai nevoie: atat in baie cat si in bucatarie (plita, cuptor, multe vase, cafea, ceai, inclusiv masina de spalat vase), net rapid, tv, Netflix, ne-au impresionat pernele cu puf si saltelele foarte confortabile. Gazda foarte primitoare, ne-a intampinat cu fructe, o sticla de vin si ne-a raspuns foarte rapid la orice intrebare. In sat este un magazin unde gasesti orice. Pentru o mini-vacanta in natura, cu liniste, confort, fara sa fii deranjat este exact ce trebuie! Felicitari!

It was an absolute dream! We wholeheartedly recommend it in every way. The welcome was warm, and the host was incredibly kind and attentive — you can truly see the love and care that went into designing the cabin! Nothing is missing: from dishes and board games to cleaning supplies, spices, and even a dishwasher — you have absolutely everything you need for a perfect weekend without having to leave the property! As for how pet-friendly it is, we were truly impressed here as well. There were bowls in case you forgot yours, a little towel for the dog, treats, and a spacious yard where they can run freely! Every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The area is also perfect for walks, and the neighbors are very friendly. We will definitely be coming back!

Nu a fost ceva care sa nu ne placa.

- The location is so beautiful and quiet. - Very close to Sfântu Gheorghe. - At first, I was a bit worried about the number of mosquitoes in the area, but the host clearly took this seriously – there were electric mosquito repellents everywhere, Autan provided, plus an outdoor device for the yard and even mosquito coils. - The place is thoughtfully equipped with slippers, board games, and books to read. - The coffee machine is manual (which, for someone who basically runs a mini café at home, was a real treat!). - The hosts are very kind – they even offered us an extra night to compensate for the issues mentioned below, which we appreciated, although we couldn’t stay longer. - The house is per friendly and you can see the owners are animal lovers ♡ - Very nice, remote, quiet courtyard, rich in vegetation and small cute decorations. - Upstairs, there'a a small, welcoming readin room (absolutely loved it!) - Also, about 12 minutes away there is a restaurant called Paprika – you absolutely HAVE to go. The food is excellent and the terrace is beautiful, full of roses.

On the downside, cleanliness was a major issue. It looked like the place hadn’t been properly cleaned in quite a while. Normally, cleaning should be done before guests arrive, but there were old spider webs everywhere. For example, I wanted to use a socket on the terrace but gave up because it was covered in webs full of insects and dried leaves. The outdoor chairs, the swing – everything was dusty. The windows were the same; we didn’t open them in the morning because we would have brought in dense spider webs and who knows what else. Although the manual coffee machine is a nice touch, there was no tamper, so the coffee just ran through like ...a small river. The fridge and freezer were unplugged, so we had nowhere to store food (which was already a bit warm from the trip). The boiler was also turned off, so we had no hot water and didn’t understand why. It took far too long to heat up, and since we had to wake up at 4:30 AM, we gave up waiting and ended up boiling water in the kettle and mixing it with cold water just to wash. The biggest issue, however, was the staircase to the upper floor. It is extremely steep and narrow. My mother had to sleep on the couch downstairs, which was quite uncomfortable. Even for us, carrying a small suitcase upstairs was difficult. At night, you basically have to choose between holding it in or risking going down those stairs, since the only bathroom is on the ground floor. The electrical setup was also very confusing and poorly designed. There were switches everywhere, and some of them didn’t seem to work unless you first turned on another switch located in a completely different part of the house. It was unnecessarily complicated and difficult to figure out what controlled what - but the owner knows and plans to solve this issue soon.
