I booked this villa after my original accommodation cancelled two weeks before my trip. With a group of eight (five adults, three children aged 7, 6, and 1), I was grateful to find something spacious enough to suit our needs at short notice. ⸻ Location The property listing on Booking.com is misleading. The map shows it on a main road, but in reality it is tucked down a side street leading to a back road with a severely uneven, potholed, hilly surface. This road is challenging for prams, young children, and impossible for those with mobility issues. The area is very secluded with minimal shops within walking distance, and securing transport was difficult—Grab and tour drivers often refuse to pick us up because of the road’s condition. Once we hired scooters, we could reach nearby areas relatively quickly: Canggu in 5–10 minutes, Seminyak in 20 minutes, Kuta in 40 minutes (traffic dependent). Travel to the airport took 45 minutes at night and up to 1.5 hours in peak afternoon traffic. ⸻ Access Entry is via a lockbox with one set of keys. This worked well for guests arriving at different times, but the lock itself was awkward to use—positioned inside the gate with a small cut-out for your hand. Larger hands/arms struggle, and dropping the key inside was a constant risk. ⸻ Property Overview The villa is visually stunning, with an inviting pool, tropical gardens, and five spacious bedrooms each with a private bathroom and bath. The owner kindly erected a temporary pool fence for our toddler, which we greatly appreciated. However, the polished concrete floors—inside and out—were extremely slippery, even with shoes on. Decorative mats provided were not non-slip and posed a hazard, so we removed them during our stay however the owner kept replacing them on their visits. ⸻ Outdoor Space The undercover carport fits a car or multiple scooters (we had three but could fit more).
